On November 1, the "QS Higher Education Pre-Summit: Asia Pacific 2024" was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by QS, one of the world’s leading ranking agencies. 

The summit saw participation from delegations representing eight leading universities from Azerbaijan, including Acting Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov, and other ASOIU representatives.

During the summit, Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, to discuss recent advancements in modern education.

Additionally, Vazeh Asgarov held several meetings within the summit’s framework, including discussions with Professor Tuimebayev Zhanseit, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, where they explored opportunities for collaboration, faculty and student exchange programs, and staff exchanges.

Associate Professor Vazeh Asgarov also met with Sergey Khristolyubov, QS’s Regional Director, and other key representatives of the agency. The discussions highlighted the promising outlook of ASOIU’s further advancement in QS rankings and reinforced the university’s commitment to strengthening collaborative ties with QS.
