On November 18, a panel session titled "Sustainability in Higher Education: How to Manage a Sustainable University?" was held in Baku within the framework of COP29. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and the QS International Ranking Agency.

During the session, QS, one of the world's most prestigious ranking organizations, announced the results of its "QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025."

According to the new rankings, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) secured 3rd place among Azerbaijani universities. Globally, ASOIU was ranked in the 1351–1400 range, marking a significant milestone in its journey toward international recognition.
