Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) participated in the panel session titled "The Role of Innovative Environments in Universities and Green Technologies" held as part of the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Organized by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) on “Science, Technology, and Innovation Digitalization Day,” the session aimed to promote the adoption of green technologies in academia.
During the panel, Associate Professor Elviz Ismayilov, Director of ASOIU’s Digital Development and Innovation Center, highlighted the scientific relevance of addressing climate change and discussed the innovative startups and projects developed at the university's startup center. Notably, ASOIU’s team presented their concept on “Green Hydrogen and Its Storage Potential in Carbon Nanotubes” at the exhibition held as part of COP29.
The session also featured presentations from IDDA and representatives of various universities, followed by extensive discussions.
