On February 26, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) convened the next meeting of its Scientific Committee.
The session began with a moment of silence in memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
ASOIU Rector, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, presented the agenda to the committee members and discussed the current state of education and teaching at the university, the work accomplished, existing shortcomings, and future prospects. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality of education, setting new goals in research, and continuously improving faculty professionalism as key priorities.
The meeting also featured reports on the results of the fall semester examination session for the 2024/2025 academic year, the activities of the Faculty of Information Technology and Control, the “Eazi START” Startup and Innovation Center, affiliated colleges, and the status of master education.
Rector Azizov shared his suggestions and observations regarding the discussed matters and issued specific directives for further improvements.
