On February 27, the Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, held a meeting with students.

The meeting brought together second- and fourth-year students from various faculties. Addressing the attendees, Rector Azizov greeted the faculty members and students, emphasizing ASOIU’s strong potential to evolve into a research-oriented university and achieve higher positions in international rankings, given its rich academic traditions.

Highlighting the key role of both faculty and students in this process, the rector underscored the importance of academic excellence and continuous self-development. He stressed the necessity for all members of the university community to fulfill their responsibilities at the highest level to enhance the quality of education and address existing challenges.

Rector Azizov also touched upon various topics, including the modernization of ASOIU’s infrastructure, the efficient use of available resources, support for student startup initiatives, the formation of student clubs, and the organization of extracurricular activities. He provided insights into upcoming projects and future prospects.

Following his remarks, students had the opportunity to ask questions related to exams, laboratories, academic programs, library resources, internships, and career opportunities. Rector Azizov responded to each query in detail and assigned specific tasks to vice-rectors and relevant departments to address the issues raised.
