Two students from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) have been named winners of the 4th Scholarship Program organized by AzerGold CJSC with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education.
Two students from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) have been named winners of the 4th Scholarship Program organized by AzerGold CJSC. The winners include Hunbat Ismayilli, a fourth-year student majoring in Mining Engineering at ASOIU’s Faculty of Geological Exploration, and Zahid Gadirov, a fourth-year student in Geology and Geophysics Engineering at the Azerbaijani-French University (UFAZ) under ASOIU.
Speaking at the award ceremony held on February 27, Zakir Ibrahimov, Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, congratulated the latest scholarship recipients. He noted that, to date, 38 university students and 37 vocational education students have been awarded this scholarship and have participated in industrial internships at AzerGold CJSC.
Emphasizing the role of scholarship programs in enhancing students' academic development, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Kanan Karimzade highlighted the importance of such initiatives within the framework of corporate social responsibility. He stated that programs like this, exemplified by AzerGold CJSC, align with the national education development goals set by the President of Azerbaijan.
The Deputy Minister congratulated the scholarship winners and encouraged them to make the most of their internship opportunities, advising them to take full advantage of the resources provided to become highly skilled professionals.
Launched in 2021, the AzerGold scholarship program aims to support vocational and higher education, train qualified specialists, and enhance their integration into the labor market. For the 2024-2025 academic year, students from 10 universities and 2 vocational education institutions have been awarded the scholarship. Winners will receive a monthly stipend of 200 AZN throughout the academic year.
