On March 5, a delegation led by Professor Meiram Begentayev, Rector of Satbayev National Research Technical University, Kazakhstan, visited Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) as part of their official trip to Azerbaijan.

Rector of ASOIU, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, welcomed the guests and highlighted the strong ties between Azerbaijani and Kazakhstani higher education institutions. He noted that in recent years, ASOIU and Satbayev National Research Technical University have taken new steps in expanding their collaboration, including the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which paves the way for further cooperation.

During the meeting, held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, both sides discussed broadening their academic partnership. In line with the existing cooperation agreement, they exchanged views on future faculty and student exchange programs, joint conferences, symposiums, and collaborative research projects.

Following the meeting, the delegation toured the History and Mineralogy Museums, the Azerbaijani-Türkiye Friendship Center, as well as ASOIU and UFAZ’s laboratories and computer rooms. The guests expressed their appreciation for the university’s infrastructure and the favorable conditions created for education.
