ASOIU students successfully participate in aerospace innovation exchange program in Türkiye

Students from the SABAH groups at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) are representing Azerbaijan in an exchange program in Türkiye, focusing on space, aerospace, aviation, innovations, technical sciences, artificial intelligence, and engineering.

As part of the project, two ASOIU students—Murad Garamollayev, a second-year Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering student, and Mehpara Heydarova, a second-year Computer Engineering student—achieved victory in the final stage of the Startech space project.

Mehpara Heydarova expressed her appreciation for the exchange program, highlighting the opportunity to explore Türkiye’s advancements in aerospace and space engineering while gaining hands-on experience.

The opening ceremony of the initiative took place in Bursa, Türkiye, organized by the Space Academy under Azercosmos and supported by Gökmen Aerospace and Aviation Training Center (GUHEM), the Azerbaijani Ministry of Science and Education, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and SABAH groups.

Following the opening, Azerbaijani students and young researchers began their training sessions in aviation and astronaut programs. The upcoming agenda includes practical workshops, simulator exercises, and crisis simulation training.

The exchange program, running until March 19, includes participants from 14 Azerbaijani universities, as well as children of martyrs and war veterans, supported by Azercosmos and the Zəfər organization.

Throughout the program, students will engage in theoretical and practical training at various aerospace research centers.
