On April 16, a delegation led by Professor Eyüp Debik, Rector of Yildiz Technical University (YTU), Türkiye, visited Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

During the visit, the delegation met with ASOIU’s Rector, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov. The meeting was also attended by ASOIU’s vice-rectors and advisers, Yildiz Technical University’s Vice-Rector Vatan Karakaya, Chief Advisor to the Rector Özer Çınar, Vice-Rector of Gebze Technical University Professor Hasari Çelebi, and Education Advisor to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye, Najiba Nasibova. The discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, student and faculty exchange, the implementation of joint research projects, and the development of dual degree programs at the master’s level.

Held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, the meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum aimed at fostering collaboration between ASOIU and Yildiz Technical University across various academic and research fields.

As part of the visit, the delegation from Türkiye toured ASOIU’s History Museum, the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Friendship Center, and the Laser Center. The guests also familiarized themselves with the laboratories and computer rooms of ASOIU and UFAZ, expressing satisfaction with the university’s facilities and infrastructure. They highly appreciated ASOIU’s scientific potential and its opportunities for industry collaboration.
