On April 19, the 29th International Student and Young Researcher Conference titled “Perfect Education – the Key to Success in Oil Production” was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU). The event was jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Local Chapter of the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and the Azerbaijan Society of Petroleum Geologists (ASPG).

In her opening remarks, ASOIU’s Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Professor Latafat Gardashova, emphasized the significance of such academic platforms for young scholars and researchers and wished success to all participants.

Throughout the conference, students and young researchers from various countries delivered presentations on pressing issues in the oil and gas industry. The event also featured scientific discussions involving both local and international experts, highlighting innovative approaches and research findings.

All presentations were evaluated by a panel of judges. Nuray Abbasova was awarded first place for her work titled “Evaluation of CO2 Storage Potential in the Abu Qir Area,” which was recognized for its scientific depth and relevance. As the winner, Nuray Abbasova was also granted a special scholarship.
