On April 29, a delegation headed by Fuad Ahmadov, General Director of SOCAR Polymer LLC, visited Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

During the meeting, ASOIU Rector, Associate Professor Rufat Azizov, informed the guests about the university’s educational capacity, dual degree programs, and projects implemented in cooperation with industry. He emphasized the importance of university-industry collaboration and expressed ASOIU’s interest in working jointly with SOCAR Polymer LLC.

The discussions focused on inviting specialists from industrial enterprises to deliver practical lectures at the university and share their professional experience with students. It was also noted that ASOIU, as a partner higher education institution, has the potential to implement important joint projects with industrial organizations and to propose new initiatives.

Fuad Ahmadov, General Director of SOCAR Polymer LLC, stated that ASOIU graduates play a significant role in the development of various sectors, including the oil industry. He underlined the ongoing demand for professional personnel in energy, electronics, mechanics, and other technical fields. He added that expanding the company’s operations necessitates strengthening its human resources potential.

Mr. Ahmadov also mentioned that a number of current employees at SOCAR Polymer were former ASOIU students who had completed internships at the company and are now working as professional specialists. He affirmed their interest in launching various internship programs and joint cooperation projects and expressed confidence in the positive outcomes of such collaboration.

The meeting concluded with discussions on expanding cooperation, exploring future prospects, and identifying a roadmap for joint initiatives.

At the end of the visit, the guests toured ASOIU’s laboratories and computer rooms and highly appreciated the university’s technical infrastructure.
