On May 20, an informational session on the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) was held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) for students.

Farid Ahmadov, an advisor from the Youth Work Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, spoke at the event and provided students with detailed information about the Olympiad. He stated that the national qualifying round of the Olympiad in Azerbaijan will take place from September 18 to 22 this year, organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the World Robot Olympiad Association, and the Academy of Robotics Engineering (AREA).

Following that, AREA coordinator Fadaya Valiyeva announced that this year’s final stage of the Olympiad will be held from November 26 to 28 in Singapore. She gave participants detailed information about the registration process, participation requirements, and other key details for the 8th Robot Olympiad to be held in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that Azerbaijan has been an official member of the World Robot Olympiad since 2017. During this period, Azerbaijani youth have achieved success in the local stages of the competition and have represented the country with distinction at the global finals.

At the end of the session, students’ questions were answered.
