Professors from IE Business School will teach ASOIU students with the support of SABAH.academy

Starting from the Fall semester of 2025, students at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) will benefit from a new international-level academic opportunity. With the support of SABAH.academy, the university will offer a course titled “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Introduction to Business.” This initiative aims to equip students with essential entrepreneurial skills and prepare them for real-world business challenges.

One of the most notable features of the course is its academic staff. Lectures will be delivered by professors from IE Business School, one of the world’s top universities. Seminar sessions will be led by local experts from Azerbaijan’s vibrant startup ecosystem. The course will be conducted entirely in English and in an in-person format.

The program is open exclusively to second- and third-year students from the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Information Technologies and Management. Applicants must have at least an intermediate level of English proficiency.

The course will run for 15 weeks (one full semester). Throughout the program, students will develop an entrepreneurial mindset, learn to identify and assess business ideas, and turn those ideas into actionable business models. Key focus areas include team building, efficient resource management, and the development of real business projects.

Students who successfully complete the course will receive a joint certificate from SABAH.academy and IE Business School. Additionally, the course credits will be officially recognized within their academic curriculum.

Note that only students of the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Faculty of Information Technologies and Control Systems are eligible to apply.
