ASOIU Student Wins First Place at International "Minoan Robotsports" Competition in Greece

Vugar Sadigli, a Master's student specializing in "Robots and Robotics Systems" at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), has achieved significant international success.

Competing in the "Minoan Robotsports" International Olympiad held in Heraklion on the island of Crete, Greece, our student secured first place in the "Obstacle Race: Advanced" category within the adult age group. In this category, teams develop autonomous robots capable of navigating the arena and overcoming physical obstacles independently, without any human intervention during the race.

It is worth noting that this Olympiad is one of the world's most prestigious educational robotics competitions, featuring over 5,000 participants from more than 45 countries, competing with over 2,500 robots across more than 30 categories. During the competition, the participants' skills in engineering, programming, and problem-solving were evaluated at a high level.

We congratulate our student on this major achievement and wish him continued success in his future endeavors!
