Certificates presented to students who successfully completed the “Financial technologies and digital transformation” training at ASOIU

The free training program on the topic of “Financial technologies and digital transformation” organized for students at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) has successfully concluded. The training was carried out through the initiative of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the ASOIU Alumni Relations and Career Center. The final stage of the program, which lasted two days and consisted of 6 sessions, took place on April 20.

The trainings were conducted by specialists from the relevant structural units of the Central Bank. Specifically, Murad Taghiyev, leading specialist of the Payment services and payment systems development and policy department; Vagif Guliyev, leading specialist of the Special regulatory regime organization department; Javid Salimzade, senior specialist of the Financial markets partnership development and promotion department; Gunel Huseynli, specialist of the Data management department; Tunzala Muradzade, leading data engineer of the Data analytics division; and Bayram Yusifov, specialist of the Financial technologies analysis and development department, conducted the training for students within the program.

During the program, participants were provided with both theoretical and practical knowledge on current topics such as open banking and open finance, special regulatory regimes, virtual assets, data-driven economy, innovations in payment systems, as well as fraud in digital financial services. Students mainly studying in the fields of information technology, financial technologies, economics, and engineering participated in the training. Participants gained the opportunity to get closely acquainted with advanced field practices within the framework of the program. In the final stage, students delivered presentations based on the knowledge they acquired, demonstrating their approaches to the field of modern financial technologies and digital transformation.

At the certificate presentation ceremony held on the last day of the training, Elviz Ismayilov, ASOIU Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Affairs; Shamil Ahmadov, Director of the Alumni Relations and Career Center; Nasiba Amirbeyova, Advisor to the Rector on Social Issues; as well as Fidan Tofidi, Director of the Financial Technologies and Innovations Department of the Central Bank; and Sahib Hasanov, Head of the Special regulatory regime organization department, participated. During the speeches, the training was highly valued. It was noted that such initiatives are of great importance in terms of increasing the knowledge and skills of young people in the field of financial technologies and supporting their formation as personnel meeting the requirements of the digital economy. Finally, official certificates were presented by the Central Bank to the participants who successfully completed the training.
