On March 6 Rector of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Professor Mustafa Babanli met with the delegation of the State Technical University of Gomel (Belarus).

Expressing satisfaction with welcoming the guests at the university, Rector, Professor Babanli provided comprehensive information on ASOIU. Rector, Professor Babanli noted that ASOIU conducts training in three languages and talked about the training process, international cooperation ties, training in English, foreign students of the university and areas of possible cooperation. In addition, Rector Babanli spoke about the activities of the IT Academy and Startup Center. He also noted the importance of cooperating in student mobility and staff training.

Expressing contentment with being at ASOIU, representative of the Ministry of Education of Belarus Olga Khatkevich highly appraised Azerbaijan’s success in this area as an oil-rich country and ASOIU’s significance as one of the leading institutions preparing staff for the oil industry.

Vice-Rector of the State Technical University of Gomel Alexander Sichev expressed their interest in cooperation with ASOIU and pointed at the importance of developing the ties.

The sides signed a cooperation contract at the end of the meeting.

Then the guests visited the History Museum of ASOIU.
