We are thrilled to announce an exchange opportunity with Bahçeşehir University (BAU) in Istanbul, Turkey, for the Spring 2025 semester. This program provides ASOIU students with a unique chance to study at a top-ranked, internationally-focused university in the heart of Istanbul.
Program Highlights
- No Semester Fee: Participating ASOIU students will not be required to pay any semester tuition fees at BAU. However, please note that students must cover all other expenses, including accommodation, travel, insurance, and daily living costs.
- University Overview: Bahçeşehir University is a prestigious private institution centrally located along Istanbul’s scenic Bosphorus. The university boasts a diverse international community, state-of-the-art facilities, and six campuses across key areas of Istanbul.

Academic Information
Spring 2025 Semester Dates:
- Orientation: February 3 - February 7, 2025
- Classes: February 10 - May 16, 2025
- Final Exams: Starting June 3, 2025

- Nomination Deadline for ASOIU students: November 15, 2024
Eligibility and Application Process
1. Eligibility: Undergraduate and postgraduate students with a strong academic record and good English proficiency are welcome to apply.
2. Nomination: Students must be nominated by ASOIU. Please contact the International Relations Office to express interest and begin the nomination process.
3. Post-Nomination Steps: Nominated students will receive detailed guidance from BAU, including information on residence permits, visa applications, and nearby accommodation options.
Additional Information
- Housing: While BAU does not offer on-campus housing, it provides a list of recommended dormitories and private accommodations nearby.
- Health and Insurance: Students must obtain valid health insurance in Turkey for the duration of their stay.
- Cultural Activities: BAU offers over 80 student clubs and frequent cultural events, making it easy to connect with peers and experience Turkish culture.
